Oh god, one of our idiot-sinks out in nullsec is clogged... now we'll have to endure crap like this thread until someone can flush the tanks.
You stuff 1000+ people on a node that isn't Jita and then act surprised when it crashes? Please spare us your complaints. -----

Alexeph stoekai best tactician of all time. When his home is invaded by the enemy he will field only 10% of his fleets... for fear of lag!!
The first essential to victory is knowing when to fight, and when not to fight.
If you people want to engage in a meatgrinder devoid of strategy, that's fine by me. Just don't expect me to have sympathy when the lack of planning backfires. -----

SO your saying every time the enemy showed up with 400+ you would not engadge? So as you lose your moons/station/sov to 400 man blobs, while your 500 man fleets mined veldspar to death, who would the "smart" tactician be?
Lol gawd
Alien as the concept might seem to you, there are tactics and strategies available beyond marching straight into the other force. If I couldn't split the enemy force, lead them to divide, lure them into situations that favoured my fleet, distract them by striking their own territory, force them to detach parts of their fleet for sieges or pick them apart before their fleet can even assemble, I would probably be forced to engage them head-on. However, in doing so I would be perfectly aware of the near-fact that it will cripple or even kill the node, and I wouldn't go and cry about it on the forum.
Don't get me wrong, I would also like to see a game entirely free from lag where you people can smash any amounts of things together (mmm... increase in demand), but until that day comes I'm afraid there are certain limitations in place - and events like these that come with those. -----

See unfortunately while that sounds great, it is not a valid tactic whatsoever in most cases. For example, atm NC is being invaded by tri, based out of NPC space, and Atlas who is basing 60 jumps from their home and rolling through another 30 to get to Pure blind. There are ALREADY 2 fronts. The NC cannot counter both, so they are focusing on one. Are you suggesting the NC should stop defending their home and instead siege NPC stations? Or are you saying they should go 80 jumps to invade Atlas space while the rest of eve slaughters their sov? .
Congrats on finding a specific scenario to debunk one of the strategies I suggested. -----
